The Overseas Chinese Society for Microbiology (Sino-Micro) 2022 Symposium will be held on June 9, at Washington, D.C., in association with the ASM Microbe 2022.
Our meeting will have two sessions: (i) Scientific Symposium Session, and (ii) Dinner and Business Session. In the first session, we will discuss research and science. In the second session, we will have a dinner together and discuss the Sino-Micro association business.

Scientific Symposium Session:
- Time: 12 - 4:00 pm Eastern Time, on June 9, 2022
- Venue: Monument (room name), Marriott Marquis, 901 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001. Washington Marriott Marquis is the "convention center headquarters hotel", next to Walter E. Washington Convention Center (the main conference venue).

In summary, a total of three presentations are arranged in three sections: (i) Microbiome and environmental research; (ii) Mechanism of Infectious diseases (including COVID-19); and (iii) Bioinformatics Research in Microbiology.
Dinner and Business Session:
- Time: 6:45 pm – 10 pm (after the Open Session of ASM Microbe)
- Venue: Da Hong Pao (大红袍), 1409 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20005.

Note that in addition to routine business related topic discussion, we will also have a brief celebration. We will celebrate Dr. Qijing Zhang's recently election to the NAS, and our newly elected American Academy of Microbiology (AAM) members including Haitao Guo, Yiping Han, Li Huang, Hongzhou Lu, and Jun Zhu.
